I dont think the Dicor and Indicom ad should be clubbed in the same league. I didn’t see a very good brand connect for the line Suno dil ki awaaz … it’s one of those ads made to please the creative souls more than justify the brands’ communication need. A good case in example – IDBI bank’s latest commerical.. beautiful spot but I believe fails in the validity test.

I agree that Dicor and Indicom Ad are not in the same league from brand connect point of view.
I have kept them in same league from the point of view of type of Ads. Slice of Life, Spoof, Kids, Fun, Satire, Animated etc.
In fact, Indicom Ad is trying to follow Dicor Ad. They are from same house – TATAs. Dicor had a perfect fit. Here it fails in brand connect.
Today, the advertising scene has very few relevant ads. There is a celebrity overdose. And we cannot stop count the ads where brand connect is totally missing – Acer etc.
